Where Do I Host My Website?
After your Starter Site Kit has been delivered, you'll need a place to host it so it's live on the internet. If you're not sure where to start, that's normal. Below are our recommended hosting options, starting with the simplest and most reliable choice.
Our #1 Recommendation: Cloudflare Pages
Best for: Most customers Free · Easy
Cloudflare Pages is our top recommendation for hosting your site.
Why we like it:
- Unlimited bandwidth — no usage caps, no surprise charges
- Free SSL (secure https://)
- Simple drag-and-drop uploads — no Git required
- No server management required
- Your site will never go down because of a traffic spike
Set it up once, forget about it.
If you don't have a strong reason to choose something else, use Cloudflare Pages.
Good Alternatives
Netlify
Best for: Users already familiar with Netlify Free tier available
Polished drag-and-drop interface. Free tier uses a credit system — generous for low-traffic sites, but sites pause if credits run out.
Vercel
Best for: Developers or technically inclined users Medium difficulty
Excellent performance, clean interface, Git-based workflows.
Hosting We Don't Recommend
For Starter Site Kits, we recommend avoiding:
- Shared cPanel hosting (e.g. "$3/month unlimited hosting")
- VPS or server hosting
- WordPress hosting (unless you plan to rebuild the site)
- Anything requiring SSH, server updates, or maintenance
These add complexity without benefit for a one-page site.
Domain Names
If you already own a domain, you can connect it to your hosting provider. If not, you can buy a domain from providers like:
All recommended hosts above provide clear instructions for connecting your domain.
